Oommanchandy Kerala CM receives UN Global Award for Public Service Mass Contact

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will receive the United Nations Global Award for Public Service at the United Nations Public Service Forum and awards ceremony in Bahrain. The award is being presented by UN secretary general Ban Ki-Moon.

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has won the United Nation's Public Service Award for his Mass Contact Programme, which saw him directly engaging with people in the state to address their grievances.

The Kerala Chief Minister bagged the first place in the category ‘Preventing and Combating Corruption in the Public Service’ from the Asia and Pacific region. The second place was bagged by South Korea’s Seoul Metropolitan Infrastructure Headquarters.
